Here's how to keep a turned up tractor running for a long time: 1. Keep that radiator clean!!! 2. DO NOT ballast the thing so that gets 5%or less slippage, that's how you'll ruin transmissions, besides, it's not like you're interested in setting any fuel economy records anyway if you're interested in more horsepower. 3. Change fluids often and use good fuel. It's not really that hard to do, we have three 30 series tractors turned up 20-35%, and they've been making this horsepower since the late 70's and have been fairly reliable machines. Total hours on all three is approximately 38,000 hours. I don't know if you'd have that kind of luck with the newer tractors, I don't know if they are built as heavy.
