Good for you, i hope you like seeding your fields behind your machine, and hope you like buying walkers!

Gotta know how to set them for minimal losses and have never bought walkers and maybe you should take your lil red toys and go home.

After running the machine for those fifty hours, there weren't any more losses behind it than our old 7720. The man in the seat determines losses more than the make of the combine.

Thank you for taking the time to post your decision. Your statement about the operator determining loss is so very true. What headers are you running on the 9600IJ

It will. They are a very durable combine. I farm in north east Saskatchewan and this year we got 50% more precipitation then normal, it pushed harvest back at least a month. We did the last 400 acres with snow on the ground and in the 30' canola swaths. Had to stop sometimes to clean the ice out of the sieves. Still did a decent job. Can't get any tougher then that. But we got done.

I own a 9600,9610, and a 2166, if set right they all 3 can do the same job, the red one is a little better in corn , but when the guys run them in soybeans nobody wants to run the red one. I have had several j.d.s and have never bought a walker yet, but I have put in a couple of rotors due to a rock coming through, when I trade the 2166 or the 9600 for a 9650 it will be a walker and not a sts. Just my .02 worth.

A 930 rigid came with the combine and I use an 853A row head to cut milo. Probably will try to upgrade from a 643 corn head to an 843. The combine also had a bin extension on it.

Heard rumors that Deere will only be building rotors in near future, around here nobody wants the conventional Deere for corn, there nicknames are Artsway Hammer Mill.

I think Hunter's post was sincere and meant to be an update on his earlier one. NOTHING is accomplished by posting a message so dripping in sarcasm like you did. The ethical thing for you to do would be to realize your mistake and post an apology!

Don,t be afraid of breaking walkers.Have had alot of these machines since they came out and never changed a walker. Good care of machine saves a pile of money.
