Comparing the class 8 8010 to the class 8 9860 STS isn't exactly apples to apples. The 8010 is a much larger combine. Remember, the 9860 STS is nothing more than a repowered 9660 STS (all 6, 7 and 8 sized STS are the same size, physically_dimensionally). To properly compare an 8010, you will need to compare it directly to the CR 970 and the lexion 480R to receive fair value for the information you seek. The 9860 STS does slightly more than a 9760STS, but certainly not $30,000 more as is the difference in price between a 9760 and 9860 (no fair value there).

I beleive the 2388 and the 8010 have the same size rotor. Actualy in an 8010 its a couple inches shorter. Case just added horsepower also. Though a bunch of gets used up in the drive system.

Anyone here know how the Cr970 stacks up against the 8010. I have heard these two are the best, but one has surely got to be better.

I thought it was highly entertaining. If you want me to write facts I can do that. The 8010 will not begin to keep up with a deere 9860. It is overly complicated. Do you think most people need or even want a self leveling sieveIJ It is also under powered . I drove one . After years of producing 2500 bu an hour combines case has brought out a 3200 bushel an hour combine. They seem to lag about a thousand bushels an hour.What else would you like to know erik. We have all traveled down this road many times Erik,but if you insist we shall travel it again Your friend BIG MAC
