More "cookie-cutter" statements that all the anti-CaseIH _ anti-AFX8010 _ pro Deere non rotary-rotary guys are using.... I could literally cut and paste these same comments....why don't any of you guys with "REAl" experience find something new to post IJ Funny thing is...the guys that have honestly run the AFX8010 have never said anything about lack of power....in fact it's quite the opposite. Big power, and HUGE capacity. The only reason most guys don't think much about the Self leveling Sieve is because it's not standard in a Green combine....if it was, then it would be the cat's @ss. All these very insightfull statements remind me of the anti-CAT guys when the lexion first made its debut over in North American crops with it's huge capacity....and I read non-stop on how "my 9610 will outrun a CAT lexion 480"..or "my neighbour said his New Holland TR98 could walk the new 480 lexion." If for whatever reason you don't like a certain brand_machine and another brand_machine works better for you...in your operation...on your budget...in your crops...then great...but why try and discourage other guys with rumour IJ Hopefully there will be more guys with real experience that own AFX8010's that will post_reply for you....and then all the "Parrots" can keep repeating the same ole same ole to entertain the rest of us.....

Your comments are right on the money Mx. Right now John Deere is playing big time catchup. The first thing JDs chief engineer said when he say the 8010 CVT drives and self leveling sieves was "this is gone to be tough to copy" and you better believe copying that is their n1 priority on their next generation combine. As far as Big Macs 3200 bph fantasy.... GMAFB. I rode in a 8010 demo last fall....12 rows,200bu+,5mph+,on hills. That farmer also appreciated the self leveling sieves.

last fall I had the opportunity to compare the 8010 to the 9860. They are dead even in capacity. Both machines would reach power limit at the same speed with similar loss levels (slighlty more on the 8010). The grain tank sample was better on the 9860.

Why did Case IH copy the Massey_White rotor intake,by using auger intake.

Maybe the 8010 I drove was having an off dayIJ 5 mph 165 bu corn . It was maxxed out. I gave them a chance I ran the machine. Maybe the engineers didnt know what they were doing that set it for meIJ The heck if I know. I do not know what else there is to say about itIJ

Must have been an "off-day"....the one day demo I got we were in 195+bu_acre corn and we ran 5.5-5.7mph. Once we started to play with the settings as the day went on our ground speed gradually increased while being able to keep near zero loss. It was a learning expeience for all of us that day as it was the first AFX8010 to hit the feilds in our area...so even the CaseIH guys learned a few things that day...can't have a new machine all figured out before it hits the field. I'm looking forward to getting a AFX8010 this fall to run solid for a couple days....all goes well the 2388 will be getting traded.

If you would remember who copied who. IH was the FIRST company to experiment with rotor technology. Massey may have improved it but they don't get all the feathers in there hat since it took the red boys to make the rotor a reality that the green boys are finally copying. Where have they been. First give credit where credit is due.

Funny part is that caseih has copied JD rotor intake,because they used the auger intake before caseih did.They kept those Elephant ears until JD came out with rotor.Massey did not take much market share,so they kept those Elephant ears.CaseIH is a good combine but i laugh because some of you think IH should be the only to use single rotor design.Just like everyone has copied the original conventional combine,they all are based on the same principal.The auger intake increases capacity in tough conditions,
