I've recently decided that I want to raise a few beef cattle. I'm starting a pasture from scratch. Just received my soil test results and I'm trying to figure out what fert I will be needing? I've provided photos of the results.

I'm also curious about what forage I should grow for the cattle?

Soil testing is an important procedure for all farmers. How soon do you want to have the cattle since it may take a while for the pasture to grow? All the best as you embark on this venture.

Next spring at the earliest. I'm hoping I can get everything going by then.

Soil testing equips a farmer with useful information. How frequently should it be done? High-quality forages include small grains like wheat, ryegrass, cereal rye. White or red clover is also often used.

Red or white clover, fescue, Bermuda are a few good choices for forage. Keep in mind also that you will need about 2 acres per head.
