well don't mistake me im not saying you can't wash a combine or work on one I guess if everytime we got done it was snowing or close too i can see the advantage..cause it has to be washed I do like how the 2388's are easier to wash now than the 2188's there have been some nice improvements i guess we are just lucky to be in illinois (first time ive said that i think) and we ususally have a good amount of time before snow thats very cheap for a demo if you have a major problem too. lol...you must have a good dealer as do we..but what are you married to his daughterIJ 12 bucks for a combineIJIJIJ haha

Yeah and its like takeing your care to a major chain that deals with auto services_oil changes everythings going fine and they come back with a list of crap they say needs looked at and most of those belts they point to would last you for a year or more!!!!

Thats what they call prevenitive maitnence. Fix it before you need to park it.

You're right; - the biggest challenge is getting the combine home during decent weather when the roads are dry and bare, but we seem to always manage somehow. Otherwise, the combine might sit outside on the dealers lot until the weather cooperates, which isn't all bad either. There have been two incidences where the dealer had an opportunity to "pre-sell" my used combine and trade me up to a new model at a better price, simply because my machine was sitting on his lot for farmers to see. Deere usually has there "open houses" during the winter which draws a lot of farmers out to the dealership.
