Interesting, your comments on feeder house size. Most of the operators I talk with about Gleaner rotaries running away from their green and red machines are amazed at how they do it with such a small feeder house. Maybe I'm about to give away a Gleaner secret but if you run a small conveyer at a faster speed won't it deliver the same amount of material only in smaller bites -- more often (evener feed) the others run the material up to the cylinder in slugs, than use elephant ears, APS cylinders, and the triple inlet vanes the JD's use. looks like a lot of moving parts to make up for being able to say you have a massive feeder house opening.
