boog, just the two sprockets cost me $83 (that includes shipping and handling) They have a really good website you can go to, to look things over. If you can't find it, I can get it for you. There are a couple of things to consider when changing to the slow down kits. You have to shorten the gathering chains since the sprocket is smaller. Calmer sells them, but you can make your own shorter too, thats what I did. I beleive they sell a complete kit that includes two sprockets, two gathering chains and two stripper plates for $200. When I put them on, I was concerned that the chains would really dig into the chain guides since the sprocket is a smaller diameter, but after talking to Calmer and running them, they will wear for a while, but after the chain bottoms out, that will stop. If you have any more questions, I'd be more then glad to answer.

somebody correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think the poly is much lighter than the metal. I seem to remember someone telling me that a while back. I have a 1083 all poly and like it very much..mostly for the job it does on the stalks and low mintenance.

There isn't a master link, I did it by grinding the pins out and taking the links out, then took the old pins and put it back in and welded the top of the pin. If you buy the sprocket, it comes with directions on how to do it. Pretty simple to do if you have a mig welder, or are really handy with an arc. Probably take a machine shop 5 minutes to do.
