I would try doing beans first with the wires out. I run my combines that way but some beans thrash easier than others. You probably will have to run really tight lower seive to rethrash any pods that do not thrash the first time. Good luck

Cover plates are made to retain the crop in the rotor and do some extra threshing to remove the beans out to the pods. Sure helps....Jack
