Saw a new JD 7400 4wd working 4 miles from where I live, she was not very impressive in a heavy crop of grass ,the feed rollers kept blocking and JD tech's where clueless!!! Our JAG 900 would push her out of the road to get at the grass!!with a RU600 8 row maize head she will put 5 tonne_minute into the trailer.Plus I read somewhere that the Deere 7700 and 7800 models where "special" order and somebody was Quoted a retail price of $495000 for the 7800, unbelievable!!! The new 780hp Krone big X shows some promise but I still think that Claas choppers are hard to beat. We will be harvesting maize silage in Oct_Nov,don't know if we'll need any drivers then or not.

Don't forget 9880 that this model of Jaguar (apart from a few updates)has been around since 1994.If you think Claas are sitting on their butts think again!!! Completely new chopper due in 2004 and I'm reliably informed that the 900 will be the "baby" model!!! First 1000 HP chopper perhapsIJ
