Combines Deere Walkers

I have heard that about the combines also. Don't know what they must be thinking. Walkers don't stay on the lot any time at all. Rows of STS on every lot.

I've heard it's last year for the CTS but the walkers will continue.

This is the last year for the CTS and the 9660 walker, They will continue with the 9560 walker, at least for a while yet

My local dealer told me that this will be the last year for a North American built conventional combine; - PERIOD! After this year, apparently Deere will be considering importing the german-built 9560i and 9660i conventionals. I think is trying to quash the conventional combines in North America.

It sure is to bad YEllOW FEVER got the boot. Because he was right no body on here including myself had the guts to stick up for him when he said the manufactures only build combines for what works the best in corn every other crop is extra and conventionals dont work in corn as good as rotors. He was very smart and told it like it was.

Yellowfever was "all opinion" and "little fact"! It comes down to economics and Deere probably isn't finding it too profitable to build conventionals, sts's and cts's All out of one plant. As far as conventional combines are concerned, I've never had a problem getting a good sample in corn with a Deere conventional. The combine industry does not revolve around corn.

Well I tend to disagree with you, corn is king but you have your opinion and I have mine and it apears that Deere must feel the same way or they would quit building the rotors, but to be very truthful I have never heard anything bad about the conventional Deeres in any crop except corn and from all people that got rid of conventional for rotor say they get much beter sample with rotor, so that must be what is driving the force to eliminate the conventional and I still beleive yellow fever he was very well educated man he sure could hold his own against them young wipper snappers.
