Did you show livestock as a kid?

Did anyone else show their livestock through county fair competitions, through 4-H, or through some other avenue as a child? I'll never forget the pride I felt when my goat won the blue ribbon at the county fair. I've won a few things since then, but as a kid, that was the first competition I'd ever placed higher than a participation ribbon. I was pleased for weeks and so was the goat, Baaaaby. Do you have any stories to share? I'd love to hear them.

That's a sweet story, Petal to the Metal. I've never competed, but I always love to go the expos and fairs to look at the animals.
