Combines F2 airflow grain saver help

Had one on a l2 it really works. It has a air manifold on each side of the shoe that blow the down side grain to up side. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I had them on both F2's I owned and would not have been able to keep the grain in the machine without them. I lost a paddle on the impeller on the first F2 I had and tried to run without the blower and quit after one round. Another thing that helps is to put a seperate control rod on the first six rows of the chaffer and then opening those rows 1_8" more than the middle. This gets the grain down into the machine quicker thus less grain running out the back. Pete

They work great, however they are about imposible to find at a bone yard and you have to remove the entire show to install the duct work. There is a side hill rattle chain avalible as an aftermarket part I would try this first.

Hey I have an l2 with the air flow kit on it ,I have trouble on level ground trying to keep leaves an chaff from plugging it up! Even put 1_4 inch screen over the air outlets to try and eliminate the problem . Get to the hills when I need it and its plugged IJ Any other ideasIJIJ jl

Do like PETE suggests and modify the chaffer, look under MODS on sidebar. Someone also said to lower the front of the sieves about 2 inches and drill another hole there to hold the front of the sieves. Can you move the outer straw walkers ahead and the middle straw walkers back where the bolt to the wood blocksIJ This might keep the grain centered. Why in the world would you cover the outletsIJ You want anything that gets in the system to blow through the outlets.

allisfarmer2, In corn_soybeans you should have intake air shield wide open.Check to make sure that weighted arm moves freely.Sometimes bushings in arm will bind on pivot.Also,check linkage from pendulum to weighted arm,this also can get worn excessively and cause pendulum(air diverter)to not move far enough which limits air flow to shoe.Also,have seen roll pin in pendulum sheared off and air diverter arm moves but diverter inside housing is not.Make sure that there is no cracks in any of your flexible hoses(You can use duct tape to wrap cracks in hoses to get you by).last,make sure all duct work is fully clean before starting.If you have any grain and_or chaff,leaves,etc. in ductwork you will limit the amount of air going down tube.The grain saver blower has a mass volume of air capability and with machine running you should be able to move weighted arm and watch hoses swell.Hop you find your problem, Hyper Harvest II
