My children have decided that they want to be picky, finicky eaters. I don't know why they decided this but we aren't letting them off that easy. What do you do to try to get your children to try new things?
This might sound strange, but having the children help in the kitchen is what got them to try most foods at least once or twice. If they had a hand in chopping it up, cooking it, or even just plating it, they were happy to taste it. I don't know the psychology behind it. Maybe it was just a coincidence.
