Food poisoning

How do you know if you have food poisoning? Would certain foods bother one person and not another. My husband and I both ate the same meal from a local pizza place. He's sicker than a dog, I'm fine. He thinks it is food poisoning.

Food poisoning is really a general term. It usually means food that is contaminated with bacteria usually due to the food being mishandled in some way. It's possible that you may have more resistance to the bacteria than your husband does, or more likely that he's sick from something else. How long after he ate at the pizza place did he get sick?

I would think that if you shared the same food you would both have gotten sick. I do think that it takes a little bit of time too. Perhaps he ate something earlier in the day that didn't agree with him.
