Machinery is often prone to breakdown, owing to the nature of work on the farm. Not only can it be costly to purchase this equipment, but a farmer can also incur huge costs through repairs. How often do you perform cleaning and lubrication? By doing this frequently, you can prevent the equipment from clotting and dusting. It also helps a farmer spot defects such as cracks and oil leaks.

Typically after every use is when I clean. I have the little lady keep track of hours for me and lube when the time is up.

I'm not the best at this, unless I'm using someone else's equipment and then I baby it. I keep the oil changed and make sure the tires are filled appropriately, but that's about it. I'm not that handy.
