Your numbers are a litle big. If you are a diehard silver man, I would look hard at a 1" smaller diameter enclosed rotor with 6 rows of bars and an oblong bottom auger housing that feeds the clean grain elevator. One of those items is available right now on 2005 65s and 75s and could be retrofitted on older machines if you like to cut and weld. The other one should be released soon from Gleaner as a performance upgrade. Those 2 items should make an R75 able to leap green class 8s in a single bound. later dude

If you understand the nature of feeding into the Massey rotor, it is the closest thing to Natural Flow in an axial. Because the crop is admitted into the rotor from the bottom into the auger flighting, it doesn't need to make a 90-degree turn like in a Case, Deere, or New Holland. Perhaps it was fate that one day the great silver line and the great red line would come together. In my opinion, an R85 based on the MF rotary concept is a very good thing, at least if they can incorporate some of the Gleaner's cleaning system features into it. The MF has always been a monster in capacity for feeding, threshing, and separating, but sometimes fell short in the cleaning department. Gleaner, just the opposite, one whale of a cleaning system but short in feeding, threshing, and separating. AGCO has some of the best combine technology at their disposal. Can't wait to see this machine!

Guys I don't know if it is a line or not but what I posted earlier was told to me by a friend of mine and he is a territory rep for Agco. For the record I have a Case 2388. Please don't expell me from your combine page now that you know the truth. I will say this if CNH ever discontinues the 2388 combine my next combine will be a Gleaner. I didn't mean to offend anyone I just thought you Gleaner guys might like to know what is in the pipeline with combines. Thanks

AGCO has had to many engine brands. Stay with the Cummins boys. Don't do this to us again. Stick with the one you brought to the dance. If you have to go to something else, and there better be a very good reason(AND THERE ISN'T A GOOD ENOUGH REASON) to use something else, use the Cat motor from the yellow line. But you better think twice before you leave your wingman Maverick.

Switching to the Agco_ Sisu engine from the 505 Cummins would NOT be a step backwards. Sisu has more power, torque, and better fuel economy. My neighbors haven't had any problems with Sisu engines. Most farmers I talked with want the new engines. Also the Sisu engines could be serviced by Agco dealers, rather than relying on Cummins to get there. Test drive a new Agco or Massey tractor and I think you will be impressed with these engines.

Sure like the current machines, however feeder house is definately a restriction, faster unloading would be a plus (12" tubes currently),as well as straw spread. With the new fine cut choppers we can chop it now the problem is even spreading if the wind is wrong as it usually is.

look at it this way, if you owned the Kodak company would you use Fuji filmIJ It should be cheaper with better service to use what they have full access to.If they would have never changed it would still have some old GM gas engine in a conventional combine.

I bet in 75% of the cases Cummins can service an engine faster and cheaper than the local dealer. I like an engine mechanic that works on engines all the time not just once or twice a year. You wouldn't go to a general practice doctor for brain surgery would youIJ
