My Grandpa used to say "If you want it cleaner, get a Gleaner". I think all brands have names for them and may not be any reason for itIJ Ilnh

Just for the fun on it.. and without starting any flame wars, what are other 'nicknames' that ya'll have heard for gleaners and other brandsIJ In the owners manual of our l2 someone had scribbled " "Garbage Can on 30.5's "

Other nicknamesIJ John Deere, green grain grinders, IH Axial Flow, weather man (slows down when a cloud passes over the field). About 2 AM one day some years back my K2 was "that silver POS". Does that countIJ

The best John Deere one I heard was on here some time back. Do you know the difference between a JD combine and a Arts-Ways feed grinder mixerIJ Different shade of green. Don't mean to hurt anybodys feelings. Ilnh

I had a guy from the local Coop ride with me while picking corn one fall and he was impressed at how fast I could go compared to the neighbors. He called my combine the "Silver Bullet". Kind of liked that name so I use it as my handle. In fact I still refer to most Gleaners as silver bullets. Another name I have heard for the John Deere STS is the STS stands for "Straight Through Seeder"!

Bob-- How about a couple of different nicknames for the JD STS--Stolen Technology Series, or Same Thing Stupid. I think the best quote I heard recently re JD was concerning their large "Polaroid Engineering Dept".
