The neigbor who has one figures 5% is fine because he calibrated with a weigh wagon. his reasoning is if the wagon is off 1 or 2%, and the yeild monitor is off 1 or 2%, you end of being safe figuring 4 or 5% error. Anywhay, accuracy is what we all want, so if the ag leader is cheaper, easier to use, and more acurate, than I wonder how much one would be to fit on a 7720- if they make one.

It's $100 cheaper for the kit for a pre-9000 series Deere combine, or any other make. A friend of mine has a late 7720 with an Ag leader 2000 monitor and really likes it. If you're going to do any precision ag stuff besides just running a yield monitor, the 3000 really seems to be worth the money. It's also a lot more user friendly, since it has a nice, big display with large numbers.

we run both the Ag leader PF3000pro in the sprayers w_ trimble lightbars, and the greenstars in the combines and for the corn planters and the air seeders. we use the greenstar tracking in the airseeders. we have excellent luck w_ both brands. There are things I like and dislike about both brands, but for what we use them for I think they are about the same. my 2.5 cents mit9750

I see either some people here don't know how to set a monitor or listens rumors I don't know, but I run over twelve thusand acres of wheat, barley, corn, and soybeans a year with 2 9750's use to run 3 9650s.Compared both..Agleader needed to be calibrated more than twice a season for sure!NOT ONCE A YEAR no way!!Never worked that good. You can't calibrate for corn at 26% moisture and expect it to be right on for 15% corn,I ran agleader for three years, greenstar was the same way, major changes in crop, better recailibrate.Greenstar wasn't far off of agleader, not like everyone says. When you cal use a whole or half truck loads, check chain tension before cal,and keep it the same tension over the season, keep average speeds when cal, don't cal in rough part of field, cal in average hill sides, weigh wagons are ok to get close to accurate but not as good.Greenstar has only been within 2.0% off at average.Agleader was about the same, but you had to wiegh four loads all the time. If a person knows what they are doing, both monitors will work well.
