We experienced the exact same thing last summer. Our leased 2388 pushing a 30' couldn't keep up with our STS's pushing a 36' draper without throwing over, while still having the cleaner sample. You're right, the operator makes a difference. We experienced rotor loss on our STS, too in corn. I think they all have their little loss problems.
