There are a lot of things that have to happen before the feeder house engages, and I have been through most, but not all of them. I have checked most, but not all of the connectors and they all seem to be good, in fact I am impressed with the quality of the connectors and their ability to seal out dirt and moisture. Maybe my next move should be to run a jumper wire around each one to see it that does some good, but then if I do it this winter, the combine won't be running and hot. Usually when some electrical component isn't making good contact it will eventually fail completely. This beast has been acting the same for three years of running from May through November. It's possible your valve is hung up with dirt, but from what I've seen it's pretty well sealed from dirt. A Pro Harvest man did tell us there is a voltage problem, but it hasn't been located. This fall I did get ahold of a detailed electrical book for this combine, but I haven't had time to explore it. To get the corn done, I finally took out the belt tightening cylinder and replaced it with a pipe with a threaded bolt sticking out of it. The head ran all of the time, but at least it ran. The guy running it got tired of waiting fifteen minutes for the head to start and besides that, an otherwise good machine wasn't getting anything done for that time period. Thanks for letting me vent! Jim
