We love popcorn in this house, so I've tried to make it healthier since we eat so much of it. I've stopped buying microwave popcorn since it's not as healthy as what you can make with kernels on the stove. However, my popcorn ends up tasting like oil which is gross. Is there a way to do it without oil? What healthy toppings do you like to add to your popcorn? I'd like to skip adding butter and salt.

You can pop it with water supposedly, but I've never tried it. You need a large cast iron skillet. Fill the bottom with a layer of kernels. Then add water so that it covers the kernels, but don't add so much water that they float. Shake the pan periodically to keep them from sticking. That's it. If you try it, let us know if it works.
