Combines Hot wires on A C switch R 62

Tom, did this conversion on my R50 about 5 yrs. ago. Had no problems, just changed compressor oil, expansion valve,and drier. Blew out lines with dry nitrogen. Put stickers on stating charged with R134A. I would say worked as good as R12, little bit higher discharge pressure.

By dry nitrogen are you referring to a regular flush kit or do you buy bulk nitrogen in a pressurized bottleIJ Thanks Tom in MN

I usally buy 10lb. bulk tanks. A flush kit would work fine also.

I understand it is safe to use, have been told it is approved by Canadian gov't. and local Agco dealer handles it. What gets me peaved is contents of can is worth about $0.50 and they charge $16.00.

Camshaft check out there web site. www.duracool.com They will ship you a case of 12 cans for 60.00. Sounds a lot cheaper than 16.00 per can. Hope this helps...........
