the alllowable configurations are also determined by what area of the state,u operate in around here in my area, a 6x 4 prime-mover is allowed to tow 2 trailers , net pay load is 50tn, referred to as a long vehicle, down where aussie is the road trains are allowed will try and find some information and post the allowable lengths and config been too many changes since i got my licence , everything has got bigger

We do about 1500 acres with a 9500 with a 922 flex head and a 693 corn head. Have about 400acres of corn and 250 of beans, 100 of wheat and 750 of rye.

Sounds about right. That would be with a tipping body on the prime mover as well as the two tri_tri trailers.

Sorry I didnt see your post earlier. Maybe I was asleep after some long days in a tractor. Our automated dumping works like this: My wife drives each truck to the dump pit and opens the end gate. A switch in the pit starts the auger as soon as there is corn flowing into the pit. It will shut off again as soon as corn stops flowing so she can leave the first truck dumping while she drives another truck to the field. Another switch on top of the wet corn bin shuts off the auger if the pile of corn reaches the top of the bin. Wet corn automatically flows to a continuous flow dryer and then to dry storage bins. Any malfunction along the way including an overflowing bin shuts down everything. Automatic controls on the dryer maintain whatever level of dryness we want. The wet corn pit is only an auger hopper with a sensor wired into the motor starter that turns power on when there is corn and turns it off when there is no corn. There are several systems that automate grain handling where a huge dump pit receives the wet grain. Our particular pit only holds about 5 bushels so it has to operate flawlessly to prevent spills. My son builds automated control systems but usually on a much larger scale than small farms need. He is located in beautiful downtown Page Nebraska USA. The link will get you to his web page.
