Same with any timber really. “A lot” is a term that can mean so many things to many people.
For example - 100 trees over 10 or so acres is “a lot” but unless they are exceptionally nice - will likely draw zero to little interest beyond someone hauling away for free.
100 acres of mature pine on the other hand would draw interest even quite a drive from a mill.
Here in SE Ohio - interest in pine is virtually nothing. Just not profitable for mills. Obviously go to the Pacific NW and it’s the primary timber.
