How To Change Bit On Dewalt Drill

What is the way to change a bit on a Dewalt drill when it has become locked? I have tried everything I can think of, and it's still stuck.

What kind of drill and chuck?

It can make a difference if it is a standard chuck type drill or one with a twist-lock

The size of the drill would also help
