How To Tell If A 4Wd Actuator Is Bad

Do you know how to tell if a 4-wheel drive actuator is bad? When I try to use it, the 4 hi-light blinks and it won't go into 4-wheel drive. I'm not sure if it's an electrical problem or the actual 4-wheel drive.

Had the same issue on my '05 Silverado. It was the actuator.

You could feel differents if in 4wd making sharp turn compare 2wd.

try switching it in and out while taping it sometimes they stick if it works just remember to kick it in about once a week ,,,be careful and un over anyone do it in neutral

I had the same issue with my 2010 Dodge 3500 when we had a lot of deep snow. I figure snow got packed into various places then froze. The 4WD worked, but the dash light kept blinking. I put it in a heated shop overnight, problem went away.
