The reason the spline strips out is improper alingment of the pto shaft and the coupler (runnout). It doesn't matter if there is a grease zerk or not - if the runnout is not within spec there will be a repeat failure. Grease in this area does help but if the shafts don't run true they will eventually "work" themselves to death. This applies to ANY series of axial flow combines. Case has a service bulletin outlining how to check and adjust this.
