I'm bored!

Y'all, I don't mean to sound like a child, but gosh darn it am I bored. I've read some of what you all are up to, and I have to say that I don't want to read a book, I don't want to watch Netflix, and I don't want to play a game. I've done all those things multiple times since we started isolating. I'm bored to tears! I can't go out with friends and I'm tired of Zoom. What else can I do to entertain myself? Do you guys feel this way too?

Learn how to do something new. Try something useful like computer programming or something fun like square dancing. Get a dartboard and challenge yourself to hit the bullseye. Do you live alone? I really feel for the folks who live alone right now. I don't think I could go day and night without companionship. Even if you don't live alone, there's nothing wrong with saying you're bored. I totally get it.

 

[Emergency Cake]

Do you enjoy baking? I could send you some great recipes that have served me well over the years. You could try your hand at making a fancy cake, or you could whip up something exotic.

 

[The Back 40]

Take up jogging. It's outside, which is safe, it's a solitary sport but you can get exercise. Staying healthy is more important than ever right now.

We go on drives often. We have also been hiking at parks, outside and good for the body and mind. We also play a lot of games. We try to mix things up so we don't get bored.

@Demeter I'm married with children. I shouldn't be bored, but I can't help it. I definitely sound like a whiny toddler. I ordered a dartboard off Amazon. I'm looking forward to learning how to play darts. Thanks! I'm glad I made this thread because you guys have great ideas for entertainment.

Thanks for complimenting my forum moniker. I'm a firm believer that every household should have some emergency cake stashed away for stressful moments and celebratory moments alike.
