What have you to comment about massive mono-crop farming of corn? It drains the farming land of nutrients making high-crop production a tall order. Farmers make up for this by drenching the soils in fertilizer. Is there any other way out of this?

Rotate your crops. It's called permaculture. If you typically don't have multiple crops going at the same time, maybe you can start.

This is the only way I know how to reverse the effects of monoculture.

A friend of mine highly recommended using it to avoid risks associated with monoculture. I am considering growing soybeans in the year to come. Which other crops or vegetables can I plant?
