Is there any way to make the JB Weld cure time faster? I've got a part in a tricky spot and need to hold it in place by hand until the JB Weld sets.

I've done some projects that I wanted to dry fast and I used a fan to get air circulating. If you're in the cold or damp then a space heater combined with a fan would probably help. Just don't burn the place down, JB weld won't fix that.

JB also makes KwickWeld which sets up in 6 minutes. Perhaps you should look into that product to see if it meets your needs.
