Well, golf balls is a new one to me but cylinders being out of balance is not on Deere machines. We always "took" the belt off and spun the cylinder to see if it was balanced. By adding large washers as weights, it was simple and effective to balance the cylinder. You could do this not only to Deere cylinders, but choppers as well but alittle different process is required to find how much and where a chopper is out of balance but the same washers are added to fix it. It really has nothing to do with technology or lack of it. It's no different than balancing new tires on your car. Nothing is ever made to perfection. All of it requires alittle this and that. CM

Have you ever taken a golf ball apartIJ The rubber band inside the cover must be about 50 miles long. If your combine breaks down, all you have to do is follow that rubber band and sooner or later you will get to the end of the field. This is a super idea to keep the Greens from getting lost in tall corn. Tom Russell
