Keeping ants out of hummingbird feeder

I have four hummingbird feeders and each one attracts its share of ants and yellow jackets. Is there a way to deter the pests while allowing the hummingbirds to drink? We really enjoy watching the hummingbirds flit about, but could do without the bugs.

I use saucer feeders which are supposed to keep insects out. It does a decent job of that, but every now and then, a bug of one kind or another manages to wedge itself (and die) in one of the ports. When that happens, I just hose it out.

They sell little bell shaped attachments that you can put over where the hummingbird feeder attaches. Anyplace that sells the feeders should have them. It stops ants and other insects very well.

They make a cup that holds water and hangs between the feeder and thew hook. I made my own out of plastic lids and coat hangers, a lot cheaper tan the 6 ea they want to order.
