Keeping sensitive equipment from overheating?

Do you guys have any tips for keeping sensitive farm equipment cool while out in the hot, boiling sun? It's been unusually hot here with no clouds in sight. It's having a real effect on not only my computer equipment, but on some of my machines too.

I'm sure you know all about checking a machine's coolant level, but I recently stumbled across a good article that hit on whether much older tractors need a different type of antifreeze. It's an interesting read. Antifreeze Differences

I created a "smart farm" with Raspberry Pi to monitor the health of my Durocs, and it stopped working when it got overheated. I simply shaded it with a bucket and a lawn ornament to get it running again. I haven't spent much on it, or I'd probably be more concerned. So that's my answer. Just getting your gear out of direct sunlight will lower the temp by a few degrees.
