Things seem to be going great for the tree farmers out there as the price of lumber is continuing to soar. How long do you guys think it will last? Is lumber a hard industry to break into as a farmer?

I love that meme! I have a buddy in England who said they usually have to pay a tree surgeon to cut down the trees and haul them away. However, now it appears that tree surgeons are willing to do it for free, so long as they get to keep the tree. It's not just the US that's struggling with lumber shortages.

I really don't know how easy it is to get into lumber. I would think you would need to plant several trees and wait for them to grow. I doubt that lumber prices will stay that high for that long.
