Combines MF 8450

Simply the best combine money can buy for capacity and grain quality in small grains. If it is in good shape, you maintain it properly and the price is reasonable, you can retire with the same machine. Be sure you get a copy of the operators manual and read it. Be sure you get a copy of the parts books for the machine and headers. Does it come with a massey head or a Claas headIJ If you want to put a Massey 800 series head on it, I have a new adapter kit. P.S. If you are leaving more that 1_4 bu_ac due to machine loss,.....you either don't have it set right or something just broke.

The 8450 is a 52" machine, making it comparable to a Dominator 96_98 I believe. My neighbor had an 8460 (62" machine) and it was one "sweet" running machine.

Thanks all for comments. Yes the machine is a 1990 Claas 98 in massey colours. It comes with an MF 1163 corn head and MF 9650 20' flex head with auto hight.Has 2800 engine hours.Had new rasp bars and concaves 2 years ago.Good paint, rubber and tin and sounds good.$30,000 U.S. would buy the works. Would appreciate comments.Especilly re the headers.

From what I know of the Claas Dominator 96_98, I can strongly advise you to get this combine. We used to combine barley, wheat, oats, canola and lupins with these machines, 25-foot swaths. I think it should handle those headers easily.
