Forget about replacing the balls. loewen has an excellent collar assembly that pivots on nylon, - you no longer have to worry about balls, dust and grease.

Do you use rivets to attach the auger tube or are there bolts that can be usedIJ

We used to use pan head screws and then we started using the bolts for sickle sections. Now we have a 1_4" air rivet gun and use the rivets.
