Combines New CR spotted on I 80

With the smallest of the four machines weighing-in at 33,000+ pounds, I agree that they All should have duals. Impressive looking machines, though. My local dealer says he'll have one for this fall's soybean harvest; - perhaps for corn as well, but only for demo purposes.

Do you think that the combines weight is that heavy as the web site saysIJ I say that because the new TG tractors weigh 10000 lbs more than the 70 series did. New kind of weighing maybeIJ

All TR combine manufacturing has stopped and a representative amount of CR's are being produced for marketing (shows, training, etc.) and demo purposes for 2002, with major sales release to take place in 2003. Therefore, if you want a new TR, you better hope that NH dealer machine finder network is up and working because the TR is finally history.

You would have to really wonder about the weights which they're stating, although I see no reason (or benefit) for them to be deceitful about it. Maybe they're weighing the combine with full fuel tanks, a loaded grain bin and an obese operator; - who knows! I do know that my 9610 with a loaded bin is almost too much weight for 30.5x32's. I'll definitely go with duals the next time I deal, regardless of which colour I buy.

I saw the same two of them heading north from St. louis on Saturday on Hwy 61. New Holland had a sales meeting in St. louis this past weekend so I assume they had them on display. Sharp machines!

I saw 2 CX 840's on Sunday July 7th sitting at a truck stop east of Waterloo. I recklessly drove over to them and got out and crawled all under them. They have ca-freakin'-pacity written all over them! Just got the pictures I took of them back today too. looks like they have a real winner here. Can't wait to see them perform in the fields.

As usual New Holland has put the meat in before the name went on. These new generation CR's and Cx's have got all the structural integrity that one should expect out of a combine of this day and age. When you pay as much as you do for a combine these days you want it made out of iron not tin.
