Off-farm breaks

The concept of taking a break is often foreign for most farmers, myself included. It is challenging to think of it when you live and work in the same location. Have you ever given a farm-break some serious thought? If so, for how long did you stay away from the farm?

A break off the farm means different things to different farmers and could be a staycation or vacation. It could even be taking a short trip down the road. Either way, this helps to rejuvenate the body and keep stress levels in check.

I haven't taken off lately because of the pandemic, but I've taken off before for a few days here and there. None of my neighbors know anything about livestock, so I always have to hire help and sometimes it's a hassle.
