Yea, and you would have the Stars and Bars flying next to Ol Glory on the White House, "Dixie" would be our national anthem, Grits and ice tea would be served around the country, but still have some served in a hot cup for Dan and our frends up North, and the kids would get out of school for Davis and lee day...

(ok this goes around the world - its a joke for those of you calling the lawyers) Baloney, thats one great speech. You would win hands down. Screw the rest of our politicians. We cant trust them to do what they promise anyway.

is there going to be any cotton planted in the 'land of cotton' this yearIJ I was told Deere had cancelled the round bale picker. All the dealers cancelled the orders because they could not handle any more trades of late model pickers. Some dealers setting on 2.5 million of less than 5 yr old pickers no one wants.

Don't forget Nancy Pelosi and the mayor of New Orleans. Not good enough of a deal yetIJ OK, we'll throw in Al Gore and John Kerry too. Jesse Jackson is off limits though - at least until the TV writer's strike is over. He's cheap entertainment.... ;)

George Will said the biggest loosers in the Iowa Caucus was Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. They no longer have a platform as America now can, as an entire state of mainly white race, vote for a black candidate. We have moved beyond race and vote for the man (women). As a result when a man commits a crime he is responsible for his own action as a citizen, no hiding behind race, expecting them to come to the rescue.

Not if you keep sending them Gleaners down here. I would guess grain will eat 50% or more of the cotton acres in this area this year, and 100% of mine. I guess my Allis strippers will be in mothballs another year, but they do make good conversation pieces. I talked to a neighbor and he said he had to plant some cotton because he had a picker (Deere) to pay for. looks to me that planting grain would come more to paying for his picker. Talk is that cotton may be a dollar a pound next year. If we see that there may be a increase in cotton acres next year, but with the textile mills all moved overseas and no local use for cotton I don't no if we will see that. And Deere has cancelled the Mighty round bale picker. I bet the gins are glad to see that because they were having to change up just to handle the round bales. The Case IH module picker was a better set up to me and the gins could handle them. Maybe Deere can make a self propelled round hay baler out of their pickersIJ I may be interested...nea, I will stick to my 6080 doing my hay baling. "Dixie" land of Cotto....Grain. That just don't sound right.
