It's been pretty mild here (for winter) and I can see buds popping through. These are spring flowers! We're in for some heavy snow this week. I hope the buds don't get killed off and not come back in the spring.
I would try to cover them with straw or something before the heavy snow. I would imagine they will be fine but just to be safe. Do you grow flowers to sell (your business)?
If it's a crocus it's okay to leave it be. They are hardy plants that start popping up this time of year. I love them. They're usually the first hint of color in my yard. It's like they come along to announce a new season of spring.
