Combines one bolt cylinder bar designIJ

We've had them in our 9610's for two seasons now, with no problems. We even ran something through one machine that bent two bars. We tightened the bolts with a torque wrench to whatever the instructions said to.

JD dealer sold me a set in 2003 to replace a set they put on in 2002 that were soft as butter. They were very emfatic about the torque on the bolts, which has since been changed. It would take a good compressor to get them that tight. My question would be did you get the right bolts with the offset washers. I had no prpblem with them coming loose even after some rock trouble as prior poster. "Erkie", interesting name, got mine on my honeymoon.

I have installed about a dozen sets of these new bars and have had no problem and am very pleased with there performance. The directions in the box need to be followed, a 3_8 impact will get you about half way there and will be uneven in torque. The torque spec. was lowered and I can't remember what it was so talk to a service guy at your dealer.

Yes, we had the offset, square washer. If the torque is so important, maybe it is worth the effort to go back to the two bolt design and be a little saver. I'd rather keep procedures simple enough so the harvest help can do it.

Never realized using torque was a hard thing to do. The one bolt setup is much simpler to install, your only putting in one bolt compared to two. You also don't have to reach around behind to screw a bolt in.

I agree with everything you wrote. But if you ever had to work with a bunch of hired people you might know what I mean. Just as an example: A guy picked up a new impact wrench. Since he couldn't figure out how to make this tool run in reverse he just kept it running forward and twisted the bolts of he wanted to losen. It's hard to believe but true.

Dakota, I would have to say if your help is that stupid, you must be a tight wad and not pay anything. I would never hire you or your crew if they cant manage an impact gun. How could anyone trust you or your crew if they cant read instructions. I mean you got these people that cant work a simple tool, but yet can be put on a complex piece of equipment. Its no wonder your always complaining about your machines, because you got a bunch of idiots operating them. Sorry guys but this guy gets on here and complains about how all machines are junk and more than likely its the idiot in the seat.
