Combines Perkins 640

I know that it can be quite expensive and tricky to properly rebuild a 640. I have also heard of people repowering that 8590 with cummins or cat engines. What part of the country are you fromIJ I am looking to buy a 9700, 9720 or 8590. What kind of damage did the rock doIJ What did you think of the 8590's preformanceIJ

The 640 perkins is expensive to overhaul. I repowered my 8590 with a cat 3208, it works ok.
