Maybe CNH is looking at the success Deere and Co. has had with there 9660 sts and 9760 sts schemes. Why build a combine with the only difference being HP, and a 20k price differenceIJ I have not heard if CNH is producing the 2366 in the future. Anyone knowIJ Thanks

No more 2366s so I guess if I was to looking to get new machine go with the 77 and crank it up thats what we do with the 88s now. Just give it another half a turn and save some money.

I have no ideal about the 2377 and 2388 on how they may differ but when New Holland made the TR89 and TR99 they did the same thing. Same size combine just less hp and no hopper ext. I did see them side by side and there was some things different on them. The 99 had a 3 belt pully where the 89 had two. One roller chain was a size smaller on the 89 also. The 4wd axel was different also. So I would guess that side by side there will be small things that differ that you would see. Is it $18,000.00(can) different, I don't know. Ilnh

I might be wrong but I thought I had read that the 2377 had electronic fuel management. If sothen it would have the Cummins CAPS fuel pump on it like a MX_STX tractor does. If thats the case then you would be pretty much stuck with its HP rating. Dis last years 2388's have mechanical fuel pumps on themIJ

Maybe they are looking at their bumble bee sister CRs. Only difference between the 940 up to the 970 is HP, hopper capacity, and $$$. It is a rip off, no matter what colour.

Mondo, Your statement that the CR's class 6, 7,and 8 are all the same is NOT true. There are 3 different engines 458-476-629 cu in, 295, 330, and 370hp., two rotor sizes, 17" and 22". The seperator width is 10" wider on the 970, it also has 1705 sq in. more cleaning capacity (under wind control)and is 1680 lbs heavier. CHN discontinued the class 5, 920 which shared the same chassis with the 940 and 960. Info from sales booklet.

I stand corrected. I got my info from a CR 940 owner. I'll have to tell him next time I see him.

The 940 and 960 are not even the same because the 960 runs a second return elevator. Every time they turn up the hp they added something to the seperator capicity.

their are some other differences in the 77 and 88. 77's final drives are not as heavy can't have a 12 row ready 77. and I think both are mechianical fuel pumps for the forseeable future. they must be making alot of them, as I've seen several trainloads of cr's 8010's and 2388's traveling the rails
