Combines Protests in Ontario

Out here in Western Canada things are not to good either lot of farmers are hoping for a some aid from the Feds before spring but I think you are right not to much being done by goverment. It sounds like they have scrapped the CAIS deposit but that doesn't help much. Keep up the pressure in Ontario maye Mitchell will do something Good luck

Won't happen,the feds got the money but unless it's child care,cars,gay rights or education they don't care.Not enough rural votes.look what they did to the newfoundland fisheries.They will not stand up for farming either.Just my thoughts.

I hope you guys keep up the pressure and maybe the feds will finally do something meaningful.Us guys out west get more response from brick walls.

What really ticks me off is that when we asked for 300 Million in support the government just turned and walked away.. Then last week they announced 400 MIllion to expand Casino Windsor. Now the casino employes hmmm maybe 3500 people... maybe another 5000 spin off jobs........ agriculture employs five times that amount easily and we get nothingIJ wtf

To Farmertony: Tony, the guys up here are rallying the local government to give us some kind of support to go to the fields this Spring. lot's of guys won't run this year without some funds.

The problem is none of the a$$holes have ever starved. And you get ag ministers saying "we can afford to lose some small farmers" and "that farmers should get off the farm and get real jobs". Our government is hopeless and unless your a single, gay, visible minority, you dont mean $hit. Ed

But like someone said, more votes will come from the auto sector then agriculture. The middle men in AG doesn't care all the much for the farmer. Even dealers I don't think care all that much. These dealers here in Ontario are in for a big eye opener soon. They have been screwing us here for a long time, you wanna buy stuff check out the auctions in the U.S. and Western Canada. There are deals to be had there. These dealers here want full retail ++++. They need to stock more parts for our older stuff to keep us running, not stock the shelf with toys. I can wait for a toy tractor for a week but not for a belt or bearing. Don't mean to sound selfish or grumpy but the system we have here is turning me that way. Just my opinion.
