If there is no food going out of the food distribution terminals , I would find it hard to believe that the stores have a 90 day supply . Brother inlaw had a grocery store and took delivery 2 times a week of fruits and veggies . Don't forget that in the big cities , stores have trucks in daily . Today I read two different articles that said there is at least one group saying they will close food terminals . like I said earlier ... there's gonna be some that are going to get radical . Most farmers are growing short on the logical approach that they have done for years . Now some are ready to go to a further extreme . Some have thier backs against the wall and are gonna tear a heck of a swath when they decide enough is enough . Sort of like a rat that is backed in a corner . If it gets to that point I hope no one gets hurt . Personally I have a meeting set up with the assistant to the Ag minister and hope to get to meet with the Ag minister him self .

Wasting your time going to see Steve Peters. He has no influence with McGuinty at all. Bear in mind the Ontario cabinet is run by Sorbara and McGuinty. Dwight Duncan (Energy Minister)and George Smitherman (Health)are the remaining big four cabinmet members. The other cabinet ministers are outsiders looking in. This came from someone who deals with the cabinet ministers on a weekly basis. So if you wish to get anywhere talk to McGuinty or Sorbara. Peters can only offer sympathy but can't do anything. These guys are only doing what the city bound Ontario voters want. Read lisa Boonstoppel's column in the Western Ontario Farmer this week about not growing any food in Ontario at all and importing it all. What some of the city people said they could care less if any food was sourced in Ontario. That says it all. Maybe some people will have to go hungry and slim down before the city voter attitude changes.
