My husband got some wooden crossarms from a lineman friend. He made a new clothesline this weekend. It's sturdy and looks great! I can't wait to start hanging out clothes.
Where I live, the line has to be taut and the poles, like your husbands, have to be sturdy and dug deep. When the wind blows out here it doesn't mess around.
It's the same here @ Trubadour. We get some massive wind storms. We actually check the weather before hanging out laundry. One times our sheets flew down to the cow pasture!
I love hanging clothes out to dry! I love the smell of sheets when they are dried outside. Are these new to you? I mean did you replace the lines or are they new all together?
They are all new (to us). I remember hanging out clothes as a child. I loved it! We have not had the best weather so far to hang out this year. I am hoping to wash all the bedding this weekend.
