I have a new R75 with the Sisu at dealership getting final setup, but won't use til fall 06 - will give observations then. There is a much bigger cooling system and rotating screen that is driven with orbit motor, and a huge air to air aftercooler system. It is supposed to have much better fuel efficiency than the M11.

It is my understanding that Massey has used these engines in tractors for a number of years. It was known as Valment in the beginning I think.Have a distant neighbor that has one and likes it.NDDAN(I think)said in past that tractors in his area are fuel stingy and powerfull with few warranty issues.

That's true. We have used lots of different engines and most for nearly ten years. There are few or no brands of any particular engine that hasn't changed dramtically or completely in that time. Sisu engines we used in the past have been just excellant and little to no problem with any other brand either. Parts or mechanics are not hard to come by if you should need service on your Cummins. The Agco Sisu engine is not complicated like some others which I think is a great plus. We will now hook up our own laptop to look at engine functions rather than realy on Cummins. I don't know what division of AGCO and or Cummins that caused the breakup but I think they could be a whole lot more graceful about the way they do things at times. Anyhow we ran a bunch of high horse AGCO Sisu in tractors last summer and they run flawlessly. We have since got some mid size and they are also so quite and smooth it is almost scary. I'm sure they could set these into a 55 with no problem if the demand was there. We were almost tempted to start stocking that size of machine again when we realized the capacity that could be put into a 62. I have a guy in our area that took nearly 3000 acres a year with his mix of crops with a R50 and very little outside help. Happy New Year to all.
