Combines R62 PTO bearing

Could it be bad harmonicsIJYou would think if that was so you'd have more severe issues elsewhere showing themselves.

I have had the same problem about 2 years ago. put one in and about 2 days later seal fell out. then bearing went out same season again with only about 50 hours on it. Replace again and put new rubbers in again. haven't had any problems in last 300 hours. KNOCK ON WOOD! this is on a R7 with 6 cyl. Good luck

The R62 does not use rubbers like the R7 did. There were other issues with the exhaust shielding all cracked up, repaired all the shielding and it has not cracked since. I assumed it was cracked up from the original bearing being rough and the main belt whipping. Since the new bearings have been installed all pieces are running smooooth but the seals fall out.

Be carefull if installing these bearings with rubber seals with hammer and pipe. This will knock seal loose. Check to see seal is still in place if using this method. Otherwise we try install any of these style bearings with press supporting inner race or install by pulling on with pipe and threaded rod. This sometimes takes a special built pulling rod. Just can't see any vibration that could knock these seals out unless super super evident! Best of luck

Used a press to remove and install bearings each time with a pipe of appropriate size to support the inner race of the bearing. I just cannot understand these bearing failures. I think I am going to locate a jobber bearing of better seal quality to try.
