Hi, I've got a smattering of Cats and Cummins around here, and generally the newer the motor, the better it performs. Not very scientific, but my gut feeling. I really would like the M11 that's in my 72 replacing the 3176 in my Challenger. I would also like the C12 in my R72, as it "seems" way stronger than the M11. I don't know the first thing about big trucks. My buddy, who runs one and used to own a trucking Co. told me that generally a similar truck with a Cat will bring about $10K more than a Detroit or Cummins. Not trying to start any wars though. Maybe things have changed in the last 5 or 6 years. Ed in Montana

Dear Mr. Moeller, The purpose of my a post was simply to make everyone aware of the current information. I did not set out to correct you. Believe me that was the farthest from my goal, to correct one of the original "Gleaner Gurus". To disrespect any "Gleaner Guru" is a true sin in my book. I am just shocked you called me gentleman. You being the superior and giving me that amount of respect is like a boss treating a low-ranking co-worker with equal respect. Have a good one, Mr. Moeller.
